"Идикут" перевод статьи на английский язык из книги Гульнары Саитовой

The most important event of the former year is a play named "Idikut” (the author of the play is A. Ashirov and a stage director is Ya. Shamiyev). The play was based on a historic novel of the same name written by A. Ashirov which describes the events of the XIII century in a Uighur state –Idikut, when the official religion there was Buddhism.

The protagonist of the novel is a great commander of Chingizkhan – Baurchuk Art Tekin (a Uighur Idikut- a Uighur King). Baurchuk Art Tekin, played by a young actor-D. Amanbayev, is presented as a wise state politician, who saves the country from Mongolian and Tatar occupation. The play states the problems of human beings- the relationship between a person and authority, as well as society and authority. The scenes of dancing play an eminent role; they are connected with the signs of worship to Totem-"Kok Borya” (a blue wolf). Here "Kok Borya” with its pack is a God- Saviour. The thought to stage a play which will be a synthesis of drama and plastique is given by a stage director Ya. Shamiyev. It was a new complicated task of a director set before the actors. A famous choreographer A. Hasanov, a winner of an award in XI Moscow International Competition of Choreographers was invited to make the scenes of dancing. The choice of a choreographer was not a random one, "only Alisher can tell you everything with the help of a dance. He is not just a choreographer but also a talented ballet master, with a real drama feeling, which helps him to live the role along with any actor in a dance.”- says Vyacheslav Dmitriyev Yereminko, an art director of a state children theatre "A-Я” in Moscow.

The dancing and choreographic episodes of a hero as well as a play in a whole, demanded accuracy in choreography from all the actors and ballet artists, which was achieved due to Alisher Hasanov.

The plastique movements in dancing were rhythmically strictly limited by the play. The scenes of Baurchuk Art Tekin’s coronation in an Idikut state, a "Water Holiday” in a stake of Chingizkhan are all expressed by the strict dancing rituals. However, all the time moving life is shown by free –in contrast- dancing of the wolves.

The prologue of the play is a scene where a pack of wolves slowly move in a free dancing plastigue, the leader of the pack-" Kok Borya” is staying in a center, steadily the dancing rhythm becomes more dynamic and in a culmination point the pack of wolves begins its running.

In a scene where Baurchuk speaks to his advisors a teacher Atay Sali (A.Aysayev), an advisor Tora Kaya (T.Izimov) and a commander Tarkan Bilgya Buka (S.Sonurov), the conflict between  Tarkan Bilgya Buka and   Tora Kaya is expressed through the fight of two groups of wolves: the first group- the leader "Kok Borya” (N. Paltahunov) with its she wolf (Z.Karimova) personify –good, the second- the young wolf (E. Abdullayev) with its she wolf (M.Shavayeva) personify- evil. This scene is accompanied with the "pure” wolf dance, where a mechanism of a mass fight is clearly worked out. Very artistically and ingeniously there is shown the duet scene of Baurchuk with his wife Aikumush (A. Ibdiminova), where the natural male and female fillings are "in unison” expressed by the wolves. The dialogue of the couple is accompanied by the polyphonic actions of wolves.

While realizing their ideas the directors were searching for such ways of expressions that could help to a present spectator to understand and perceive the play actively. "Idikut” was staged for spectators who are ready to dismiss the traditional drama canons, norms of perception and those who can think over what was seen.

In 2010 the play was staged on the VI International Theatre Festival in Almaty, where it became a laureate.
